Back by popular demand, Everything You Always Wanted… is the film course which takes the pain out of understanding films in a roller-coaster ride through the ins and outs, the highs and lows, the good, the bad and the ugly of movie making and viewing.
The first 3 sessions will examine how films are conceived, constructed and received, ranging from technical trickery to great film clichés, with the aim to give you the knowledge to impress friends at parties and get more out of your viewing. Week 4 (20 March) you watch a film (Singin’ In the Rain) and afterwards apply your newly learned knowledge in a post-screening discussion.
So if you love going to the cinema and talking about films – whether Hollywood blockbusters or forgotten films which only you remember – come along and join tutor Nigel Herwin for four pleasurable and informal sessions of film talk, ideas and information.
