After a young nun is expelled from her convent by the Mother Superior for excessive devotion she returns to her parents house in Paris. There she meets and is drawn to an Islamic extremist who she sees as a kindred spirit and whose dangerous ideas about religion seem to chime with hers. A troubling and powerful study of faith.
